Now is a good time to lock in your dress. Book hair/makeup/nails if you're getting them done professionally.

Find a date. Or sort a group of you to go together.

18 Days to go

Buy your ball tickets (if you need to). Find out if anyone is having a pre-ball. (exciting!)

17 Days to go

Time to look for accessory ideas. Clutch, earrings, necklace or to top off your look at princess crown.

15 Days to go

Confirm your beauty appointment. Have a girly day and trial your beauty look if you're DIY-ing.

14 Days to go

Sort your transport to and from the big event.

13 Days to go

If you're having you hair cut or coloured, do it now so you can get used to it or worst-case scenario, go back to get it fixed if it's bad.

10 Days to go

Got new shoes? Wear them inside the house (so they don't get scuffed) to soften them up a bit. It'll help prevent blisters and give you a chance to practice walking in heels.

7 Days to go

Now's a good time to test drive your outfit.

4 Days to go

Most kiwi school balls are in winter - brrrr! So it's time to look for a jacket or shrug to slip on before and after the event.

2 Days to go

Paint your nails.

1 Days to go

If you're fake tanning, do it now. Exfoliate first though.

0! ON THE DAY

Shower and de-fuzz your legs and whatnot. Moisturise your skin. Remember to wear a button-up shirt that's easy to slip off after you've had your makeup and hair done.


Try not to get freaked out or nervous about your school ball. Remember it's having fun with your friends that matters, not the fact that another girl's wearing your dress.
